District metering
At GWC, we understand the importance of DMA and PMA boundary integrity and the need for good quality data. Management of the system relies on maintaining quality data from the meters with efficient and effective methods of data collection and analysis. We can offer you the following range of services to support you in this area:
- Boundary valve proving and marking
- Pressure zero testing
- Flow and pressure logging
- Acoustic logging
- End to end testing of district meters
- Data collection
- PRV audits and maintenance
- Critical point monitoring
- Assessment of commercial consumption
- Installation of quadrina and aqua probes
- Meter reading

Pressure management
To ensure that water supply and distribution systems
are managed effectively it is necessary for some
zones to have their pressure artificially controlled
by pressure reducing valves (PRV's). Pressure
management is generally controlled by either mechanical
fixed outlet or flow modulated valves. Flow modulation
enables the valve to react to changes in demand
and can be operated remotely. Pressure management
enables the pressures to be reduced while ensuring
compliance with DG2 standards.
